Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100), an upgraded version of the Galaxy A9 that was released in January this year, has been certified by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), giving a clear hint that its release is not far off.The South Korean technology giant is expected to launch the Galaxy A9 Pro in the first half of this year. It won’t come as a surprise if the device is released as early as March or April, as it has been approved by two major telecommunication authorities.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Specifications
The design of Galaxy A9 Pro is inline with the existing design of the A-series, which looks quite appealing and premium. Moreover, Samsung is now opting for a removable back panel unlike A9, which means users will be able to swap out the battery at will. The rest of its design remains the same as that of A-series.
This new handset is a predecessor to Galaxy A9 launched last year and it comes with the same 6-inch display as found on its predecessor. However, it boasts of a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels for high resolution viewing experience.
It is expected that the new device will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system pre-installed in it out of the gate. The stock Android will be skinned with Samsung’s Galaxy own revamped Touchwiz UI, without any kind of lagging bloatware.
Performance And Battery Life
The upcoming smartphone will be featuring a powerful 1.8 GHz Octa-core processor so a top notch performance is guaranteed. Its processor has been paired with a massive RAM of 4 GB, which means multitasking is also a breeze. Another highlight of this handset is the massive 4000 mAh battery that can easily last a whole day
The upcoming smartphone will feature the same 16 Megapixels snapper that was presented on Galaxy S5 and S6. On the other hand, the front panel will house a better 8 Megapixels shooter for selfie lovers.
For connectivity, this handset comes with dual SIM capability with support for both 4G LTE and 3G out of the box. It also flaunts NFC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, microUSB, GPS and miracast.
At this point, nothing has been laid in concrete and should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, if these are indeed the specifications of upcoming Galaxy A9 Pro, it looks like a might impressive handset. On a bitter note, Samsung might place this handset in the INR 35,000 price segment and we already have Samsung Galaxy S6 at this price.
